Today, Pippin (BC, Canada) was very disappointed to see his humans were having a lie in. He was forced to entertain himself by loudly rolling a ball with a little bell in it around the bathtub.

Molly (Washington State, USA) would like to issue the following statement to her human: ‘I will sit on your essay, and you will pet me.’ Following up on this, Cat News can confirm the essay was about ‘boring human things’.

On playing a new board game, Baloo (Auckland, New Zealand) helpfully sat on the instructions as a memory test for his humans. Many new rules were invented as a result.

Of the recent guests into his home, Pippin (BC, Canada) decided to get closest to the one with a cat allergy. Medicine only lasts so long.

Latte (Seoul, South Korea) is a big boy now. He still believes he is a kitten though, and leaps onto his human’s stomach as though he weighed nothing.

Despite being Mayor for only a day, Manny (Pennsylvania, USA) celebrated all week with his online kitty friends. The pawty included a giveaway, an Instagram Live with the mayor himself, a special sticker sale, and a pawty favor: an ebook written by Manny! The pawty ended on Manny’s fifth adoptaversary!

House panther Manny Halloween Cat (Pennsylvania, USA) was given the honor of being the Mayor of Hell for the day on 7/27/22. This particular Hell is located in Michigan, so Manny fulfilled his mayoral duties remotely from the east coast. He passed a ruling that, for that day, it was mandatory for cat owners to give their cats all-they-can-eat treats.

Every morning Bumble (Buckinghamshire, UK) sits in the kitchen sink and demands that her human turns the tap on just enough for her to have a drink. Her human has bought a cat fountain with a little tap that continually spouts water. It may be pretty but Bumble knows which tap she gets her water from and she isn't changing her habits for anyone.

Today Pippin (BC, Canada) was being utterly adorable playing with a toy. He promptly stopped the moment one of his humans tried to film it and instead just began licking himself.

Benjamin (Surrey, UK) was very curious about what his human was eating today, and was even allowed to get close enough to sniff it. This is how Benjamin’s human learned that cats will eat bread when given the opportunity.

TC (Buckinghamshire, UK) reports that since his failed attempt to teach hunting skills to the miniature humans, he has tried a dissection lesson instead. This time he provided a fully dead squirrel and placed it in front of his food bowl, where he proceeded to show the inner workings to the miniature humans. This did seem to rouse more interest and less screaming. Sadly, despite this, the miniature humans’ hunting skills have yet to improve.

Tom (Hertfordshire, UK) has found a nice patch of sunlight in the house to sleep in. The fact it is in a walkway everyone uses is of little consequence to him. Everyone must step around.

Happy International Cat Day from Cat News! TC (Buckinghamshire, UK) was merrily sleeping away on the arm of the sofa as his humans worked on the other side of the room. In a deep sleep TC was rudely awoken when they used their human telekinesis powers to push him of the sofa arm causing him to fall (he definitely did not fall in his sleep). A warning to cats out there: humans use their telekinesis powers to torment adorable sleeping cats.

It’s hot outside, but Pippin (BC, Canada) hasn’t been sitting in front of the fan. Instead he likes to sit next to it and watch it blow.

Yogi (Buckinghamshire, UK) was surprised to find a strange cat in the conservatory and valiantly guarded the entry to the rest of the house. Not to be outdone, Bumble guarded the cat flap exit to the garden thereby trapping the intruder between them. The traumatised cat has not been seen since the humans let it out the back door.

Oatcake (North Carolina, USA) continues his efforts to help his human write their novel, by reorganizing their notes onto the carpet. The new filing system is based on which pieces of paper fall the slowest.

TC (Buckinghamshire, UK) recently provided a half dead squirrel as a gift offering to his miniature humans to practice their kitten hurting skills. The results were mixed. There was a lot of screaming from taller humans. Next time dead squirrels will be provided.
