Breaking It Down

Dec 27, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby and white Maine Coon cat playing with the top of a cat water fountain.
Pippin (BC, Canada) discovered that his water fountain had not been put together exactly right after cleaning, so removed the top and chased it around until his humans discovered the problem.

Christmas Eve 2025

Dec 24, 2025
A cartoon of a white cat with a Santa's hat sitting on the back of a reindeer.
We have heard word from our repawter at the North Pole: bad news! Santa's Cat has been forced to vacate their very warm and comfy spot on the back of a reindeer! Better news: Santa is confirmed to be on his way.

Christmas Sparkles

Dec 21, 2025
A cartoon of a fluffy tabby and white cat, sparkling.
Pippin (BC, Canada) has taken a great interest in the Christmas tree decorations, and even managed to get one off to play with. This has had the effect of covering him with glitter, so his humans get to enjoy a very sparkly Pippin.

Sleepy Biscuit

Dec 20, 2025
A cartoon of a grey and cream cat sleeping peacefully.
Biscuit (Pacific Northwest) was having a very important snooze lately, and looked completely adorable doing so.

A Long Call

Dec 18, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby cat shouting.
Whatever the humans were eating, it smelled like fish, and Rom (Cambridgeshire, UK) was very certain he would like some. He decided to loudly let his humans know this for as long as he could still smell it (which was quite some time).

The Smell Of Rain

Dec 16, 2025
A cartoon of a black cat sniffing the rain.
The humans had the door open for a bit, and Sammy (BC, Canada) came to sit on the doormat and contemplate the world. He didn't want to wander too far, he was just content to relax and sniff the rain.

A Taste For Chicken

Dec 14, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby cat walking away from a tuna can, towards a pile of chicken cat food cans.
Noodles (New York, USA) is feeling much better after some tummy troubles early this week. She will not, however, be eating the tuna flavored cat food any time soon. Thankfully, new cans of chicken flavored cat food arrived today.

Guardcat

Dec 13, 2025
A cartoon of a Siamese cat sitting on a doormat.
Mihee (Seoul, South Korea) is an excellent guardcat and likes to stand on the doormat, between her human and the dangers outside. Unless she's actually there to make sure her human doesn't leave. Either way, she is doing a good job.

Great Saves

Dec 11, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby cat leaping to catch a piece of tin foil, flying through the air.
Zac (Yorkshire, UK) has been training very hard. He is looking to fill the goalkeeper position if GB ever stands up a National Cats Football Team.

Not So Cloaked

Dec 9, 2025
A cartoon of a black cat underneath a pink cushion.
Doug (Somerset, UK) is, in theory, a very camouflaged cat, especially at night. Unfortunately his humans think this may have made him somewhat complacent, and his recent hiding places have not been very thought through. Hiding under a cushion is not quite enough to disappear.

Gentle Viewing

Dec 7, 2025
A cartoon of a fluffy tabby and white cat watching a tiny bug.
Pippin (BC, Canada) is very excited to report that he found a bug in the house. He did nothing except watch it carefully, because he literally wouldn't hurt a fly (but he would hurt a person's feet).

Extreme Writing

Dec 6, 2025
A cartoon of a tortoiseshell cat grabbing an unwritten card next to a red envelope.
The Christmas cards must be written, and predictably, Fae (Greater London, UK) is extremely invested in making the process something of an obstacle course. Cat News has received no information about whether the task was completed.

Lion Boy

Dec 4, 2025
A cartoon of a black and white cat posing magnificently on the arm of a red sofa.
Marley (West Sussex, UK) thinks it is very important for everyone to know he is a lion. He proves this by posing magnificently on the arm of the sofa.

Double Check

Dec 2, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby and white cat with a paper bag on its head.
Pippin (BC, Canada) was very interested to explore a doughnut bag, and managed to get it stuck on his head. He was quickly saved from this situation by his very amused humans, but then decided to stick his head back in a second time.

Water Sports

Nov 30, 2025
A cartoon of an orange and white cat hopping about in a pool of water next to a spilling water dish. A black cat watches and judges from the left, a black cat skids through the puddle on the near right. A black and a Siamese cat both look on from the right edge.
Tony (California, USA) decided to go for a swim in the water dish and got water all over the kitchen floor. All the cats of the Black Cat Ranch stood around the spreading pool water looking at it in complete shock and despair. They were all upset that their paws got wet, except Tony, who was wet on all four legs.

Human Hand Hygiene

Nov 29, 2025
A cartoon of a blue point ragdoll cat licking a person's hand.
Bonnie (West Sussex, UK) would like to remind all cats out there to make sure your human's hands are clean when they gives you treats. Lick them thoroughly to remove any crumbs.

Roll Free

Nov 27, 2025
A cartoon of a fluffy black cat biting on a toilet roll.
No one knows how she did it, but Henrietta (Alberta, Canada) somehow freed a toilet roll from the holder in the washroom. She left it full of teeth marks.

Marks of Sophistication

Nov 25, 2025
A cartoon of a tabby cat crouched down next to some crumbs.
Beatrice (Québec, Canada) is definitely not licking crumbs off of the dinner table. She is not a scavenger, she is a very sophisticated house cat with good manners (while the humans are watching).

Spontaneous Ambush

Nov 23, 2025
A cartoon of a tortoiseshell cat grabbing a person's arm.
Mimosa (North Holland, Netherlands) has been very casually gracing her human's desk with her presence. After a while she got bored though, and launched a surprise attack on her human's arm. For some reason the human insisted she leave the desk after that.

Tigger-Tiger Endures Terrible Ordeal

Nov 22, 2025
A cartoon of an orange and white cat curled up tightly with one paw over his eyes.
Tigger-Tiger (Massachusetts, USA) had to endure a visit from his vet for which his breakfast was laden with drugs. Blood was drawn after much poking and being unceremoniously wrapped in a towel despite his protests. Thankfully he escaped soon after the ordeal to his lovely perch by the back window where he curled up into a ball and covered his eyes with one paw. He is going to file a complaint with his human staff and expects extra treats and plentiful cuddles.
